Dr. Gary Michels has been serving the public of eastern North Carolina for over thirty years. He has served on church councils, chaired school boards, co-founded the Dream Factory of NC [a charity granting dreams to seriously ill children], lectured to dental societies, and founded a center to assist dentists in the area of post graduate education.
His prominence in the dental profession began as early as his graduation from dental school at Emory University in 1980. At the graduation he, was honored with clinical awards, inducted as a member of OKU [National Dental Honor Fraternity], and designated to graduate “With Honor,” signifying a class rank of number two out of one hundred.
Some twenty eight years ago, Dr. Michels began his cosmetic dental training with a man some consider to be the founder of cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Ronald Goldstein. More recently, Dr. Michels has continued his studies with the most noted cosmetic dentists in the United States including Ross Nash DDS of North Carolina, Bill Dickerson DDS of Las Vegas, and “the dentist of the stars” Larry Rosenthal of New York.
Dr. Michels has dedicated himself to becoming uniquely qualified to assist his patients in having the brightest, healthiest smiles imaginable. He has authored a book, Unusual Success in Dentistry, which has allowed Dr. Michels to lecture across North Carolina and to train other dentists at his facility here in Greenville.
